To create something new is nearly the highest form of accomplishment that anyone can aspire to. Building something, composing/writing something, and deriving something. These are all different forms of creation. The only higher form of accomplishment is to enable or discover something that enables a significant amount of further creation by yourself or others.

Here is the beginnings of a ladder of accomplishment:

1. to enable or discover something that enables a significant amount of further creation or discovery by yourself or others
2. to create something new
3. to discover something new which does not actually lead to further discovery or creation by anyone
4. to create something that has already been created by someone else
5. to discover something that has already been discovered by someone else
